Rod Wave says he’s tired of tune and will soon be retiring.
On Instagram Live, he advised enthusiasts he dropped “Cold December” to honor the terms of his $15 million contract with Alamo Records and Sony Music Entertainment.
“I was in a $15 million deal contract that I was looking to shut on and so they used to be like, ‘They need that song.’ That’s the one explanation why I dropped that sh*t. But I wasn’t by no means gon’ drop that sh*t if you want to be technical,” he said.
“I’m only here for just a little longer and when I say that as in Rod Wave,” he persisted. “I’m handiest right here for a little cash. I’ll leave y’all directly though. I gave y’all instantly crack. Nobody used to be f*cking with me with that pen. […] This sh*t no longer really me. I’m now not no people particular person or no center-of-attention ass n*gga. I hate consideration, guy. I will be able to’t get on the web with out seeing my face or name… It’s kinda like you sell your soul, bro.”
Rod Wave added that he doesn’t like appearing.
