McKayla Maroney is coming into a new occupation.
The 25-year-old gold medal-winning gymnast not too long ago launched The McKayla Collection on the NFT marketplace OpenSea beginning at 15 Ethereum (value approximately $47,776). She thinks her public sale will sell for over $1 million.
“There truly has been an opening in sports activities and shooting iconic moments like that,” Maroney told TMZ Sports at Enso Art Gallery & Studio in Malibu, Calif. “And to position my meme out, I’m just so excited to try this because it’s something that supposed so much to me and it actually changed my lifestyles.”
The record contains virtual artwork of Maroney’s “Not Impressed” meme made famous at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London after Maroney won a silver medal.

It also comes with a personal gymnastics lesson, a Twitter practice, a meet-and-greet and a signed replica of her upcoming book.
“In honor of the 2021 Olympic Women’s Gymnastics team wrapping up their competitions in Tokyo, I’m releasing my 1/1 Not Impressed meme,” the description of the auction states. “This will be the only certainly one of its sort ever minted.”
NFT stands for non-fungible token, that means the currency is unique. NFTs are one-of-a-kind pieces of digital art – including buying and selling cards, song, AI or drawings – with intrinsic price that may be collected.
