Laverne Cox is revealing what Kacy Duke mentioned to her after looking at her performance in Inventing Anna.
The Netflix display charts the rise and fall of Anna Sorokin, who tricked New York’s higher echelon into considering she used to be a socialite sooner than being convicted of grand larceny and attempted grand larceny in April 2019.
Laverne performs Kacy Duke in the series, a star health expert who served as Anna‘s non-public trainer and used to be a component of her interior circle. During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Monday (February 21), she revealed how concerned Kacy used to be in the series and what the trainer mentioned to her after staring at the display.

“I got to fulfill Kacy,” she told Jimmy. “She skilled me. I had a four-hour lunch with her where she informed me her existence story. She lived this improbable lifestyles. She trained everyone from Denzel Washington to Lenny Kravitz to Julianne Moore. And she’s been in the trade for over 30 years.”
The Orange Is the New Black Star added, “She’s a legend, and she or he were given roped into this loopy scheme.”
Laverne went on to mention she was “so worried” about how the non-public instructor would react to her portrayal.
“I used to be in reality in such a lot nervousness, as a result of I used to be like, ‘If Kacy hates it, that is going to be horrible.’ But she despatched me the sweetest message,” she published. “She despatched me flora. She mentioned: ‘Congratulations. Laverne is killing it.’”
