Dr Naomi Swipe Bright face oil reduces melasma on the face fast

It’s a common misconception that face oils will clog your pores and result in breakouts but one Australian cosmetic physician – and her loyal band of skincare followers – are laying that myth to rest.

Dr Naomi McCullum, who owns The Manse clinic in Sydney, launched 18 skincare products in May to target all manner of skin problems, including fine lines, acne and dark under eye circles.

But it’s her ‘super oils’ – aptly named Swipe Bright and Lift Off – that are causing a stir for all the right reasons in the beauty community because they make good on their promise to brighten dark skin spots, melasma and pigmentation.

Sydney resident Anna decided to incorporate Swipe Bright into her daily regime in a bid to reduce some of the melasma – a skin condition characterised by brown patches or freckle-like spots – on her cheeks.

‘Safe to say I’m gobsmacked with the results! My awful melasma is slowly but surely fading away,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

‘Swipe Bright Oil is one of my favourites. I’ve never ever been able to use an oil and it is 100 per cent safe on breakout prone skin.’

The powerful pink bottle, which normally retails for $129 but is currently $109.65 online as part of a Black Friday deal, is supercharged with a blend of three cutting-edge skin brighteners working to even skin tone and nourish.

Innovative technology from actives like Chromabright, Symbright and AlphaWhiteness target pigmentation, melasma, dark spots and uneven skin tone to leave skin luminous, while vitamin C fights free radical damage.

'The most common myth about facial oils is that they will clog pores and create breakouts. This is one of the most FAQs in our DMs and customer service emails,' Dr McCullum said (pictured with her skincare masks and products)

Interestingly one of the hero ingredients is called Youth 22 Lipid Complex, which studies show works to change the skin’s lipid profile to that of a 22-year-old, improving skin barrier function and elasticity for baby-soft skin.

‘The simple answer is no, facial oils will not clog your pores. Oil (or sebum) occurs naturally in your skin and your sebaceous glands are constantly working to pump it out.

‘Congestions or breakouts are a result of hair follicles that become clogged with oil and dead skin cells.

‘In fact using a topical facial oil as part of your daily skincare routine can actually help balance and improve acne prone skin.

‘Our two super oils are packed with high levels of essential fatty acids that are easily absorbed, because they resemble the oils naturally found in the skin.’

And the Dr Naomi Skin converts agree wholeheartedly.

'The simple answer is no, facial oils will not clog your pores. Oil (or sebum) occurs naturally in your skin and your sebaceous glands are constantly working to pump it out,' Dr McCullum said (pictured: another transformation with the swipe bright oil included in the routine)

‘What I love about this oil is how light it is and how easily the skin absorbs it. And you truly only need a couple of drops. However the greatest and most unexpected result is the brightening of the skin. It says that on the bottle and it does that on the skin. I don’t think I’ll be able to live without this oil,’ one customer said.

‘I’m an oily beast with big pores who can’t tolerate any other oils but wanting the glow up factor I ordered this and wow. Its texture is so nice – oil but not oily,’ said another.

A third added: ‘I have NEVER found an oil that works for me. This is it. This is the one. My skin is brighter, it is even and it legitimately loves this’.
